2.5BHK Apartment With A Breathtaking Pool View – Luck Or Destiny?

This post is all about my experience of taking a poolside apartment on rent.

Having an Apartment with a beautiful balcony view is I think everyone’s first choice because it the place where you sit, relax, and enjoy your me-time. When I first saw this beautiful 2.5bhk apartment with a poolside balcony view, my eyes got literally wide open and I was like damn this the place where I want to stay, and even at that very moment, my husband was also convinced. So, now let me brief you a little more on how we landed up staying in this apartment finally.

So, I and my boyfriend who is my husband now got married in the year 2019 on 24th November. We were living in a small compact 1bhk apartment. It was quite a decent place with one small tiny balcony but the only problem was the kitchen. The kitchen area was too small, hardly one person could manage to stand there and work, which was quite irritating for me. Me and my husband then decided to move into a bigger space where we can have at least a decent kitchen area and two bedrooms. One for us and for the guest.

We soon spoke to one of my husband’s cousin who also lives in Bangalore and asked him to help us out in finding a good spacious apartment on rent. His cousin then invited us to his home for lunch and then we saw two available 2.5bhk apartments in the society where he lives.

The first one we saw was decent with good ventilation, two rooms, and good kitchen space but the only problem was the balcony. From the balcony, all you could see is the construction work for the new building. That’s why we obviously said a big no-no to that house as we were particular about the balcony view. Then we saw another 2.5bhk apartment and to our surprise the balcony view this time was just mindblowing. We saw the swimming pool from the living room. And we were like Oh my god, holy shit! WHAT A VIEW.

Looking at the place, we wanted to shift there by next month itself but the tenants mentioned that they will be moving out in the month of March. So, we decided to stay in our current place for two more months. We went back home all satisfied and we were convinced to pay a little extra for staying in such a beautiful apartment. Generally, for 2.5bhk, the rent rate in Bangalore is 25,000 – 30,000 per month for staying in a decent locality. Here, for this house, the rent was 32000 per month and we were ok to pay 2000 more for having the luxury of a poolside apartment. We finally did our booking by paying the owner INR 5000 as an advance booking amount.

To our shock, soon from March 2020 onwards, Covid started, and because of which lockdown happened. Earlier, when we use to go to the office, our 1bhk place felt decent to us. Since we started staying at home all day long due to lockdown, we realized that the place was too small for the two of us.  We wanted to shift to our new poolside apartment as soon as possible but we got stuck due to the covid cases all around.

The family who was staying there as tenants informed us that they won’t be able to shift from here unless and until the situation becomes a little better. We had no idea when are we going to move to our new rented apartment. We almost waited from Jan to Feb and then due to covid crisis, from March to Aug. Finally, in the first week of September on 3rd, we shifted to our new apartment and we were really happy and relieved.

It took me three more days in arranging everything properly in our new house. And after that, we threw an amazing weekend party by inviting all our close friends to our new apartment.

I must say we were really lucky that we got this beautiful place where we can stay and enjoy our life because in a city like Bangalore having a rented apartment with a pool view is like a real dream.

I in my free time sometimes does painting just as a hobby, I painted one home with water around just after my marriage, little did I know at that time that I will soon get a place for myself from where I could see water all day long. So, now you tell me what it was; luck or destiny?
